On the day of their anniversary, workaholic and real estate agent
Jim Evers (Eddie Murphy) and his wife Sarah receive a strange phone
call from a man called Ramsley. He requests that Sarah come to the
mysterious Gracey Manor. Jim decides to turn it into an
opportunity to check out a possible real estate gold-mine, but to
please Sarah, he claims it is a "family trip", bringing the kids
along. The Evers are introduced to Master Gracey, who seems strangely
obsessed with Sarah. Once there Ramsley, the butler, insists that
the Evers stay for a big storm is on the way. Jim decides to talk
to Gracey about selling, but ends up in a secret passage where Jim
and the kids eventually discover the mansion's dark secret from
psychic Madame Leota (Jennifer Tilly), a talking head in a crystal
ball. During the adventure the family comes face-to-face with 999
grim, grinning ghosts in the creepy old Gracey Manor. Now with the
help of supernatural psychic they must hilariously battle to break
the mansion of its age-old curse…and do it before the clock strikes
